Chequer
Foods Ltd |
Chequer Foods, a client in the food industry, was
experiencing a number of issues within their shop floor
teams including low morale, high staff turnover and poor
team performance. These were identified as being primarily
caused by Team Leaders having different levels of skill and
experience.
Working closely with the client, ProSkill developed a
bespoke training course with modules covering Team
Development; Motivation and Leadership; Coaching; Decisions,
Problems and Communication and including tailored case
studies and exercises.
Feedback is very positive. Teams are functioning more
effectively; morale in teams is higher; staff retention has
increased – before the training staff turnover in some teams
was as high as 50% but has fallen to almost zero in the six
months following the training course. |

NEC Europe Ltd |
NEC Europe’s European Customer Helpdesk team were too
reliant on their supervisor for dealing with difficult
situations. A number of needs were identified, including
establishing the customer’s needs and expectations; dealing
with difficult customers; time management; increasing
assertiveness. A key requirement for NEC was a course
that addressed these needs to a group where for many English
was a second language.
A three day totally bespoke course was designed, using a mixture of
practical exercises, real examples, skills practice and
discussion to support the theory.
The changes in performance have been marked. There is a
noticeable increase in confidence among staff dealing with
difficult situations, and often they are defused before they
begin. Team work has improved, and the supervisor is seeing
a 25% drop in the number of complaints passed to her for
resolution. |
